Teacher training creates a condition for better teacher performance. It enhances the capacity of the teacher to deliver better learning to students. Through school level trainings, teachers are updated with current trends in technology which facilitate better education. It is in this context that a three-day school level training on the production of instructional video materials (IVM’s) using Cyberlink PowerDirector program was scheduled on November 12 – 14, 2008 at the CICT Computer Laboratory Room.

Every year, during semester break, the MNHS – Poblacion conducted LAC Sessions to enhance the teaching skills of the teachers. Each department was tasked to prepare its own program which was summarized and submitted to the Division Office. On the part of the TLE Department, a Five-Day LAC Session for TLE and Values Education Teachers was scheduled.

Education in the new millennium requires that teachers be upgraded with modern technology. This connotes that educators must be knowledgeable or skillful in the use of ICT in education. That’s why computer literacy is now a prescribed qualification for new teachers.
